What is Professional Coaching?
The International Coach Federation defines coaching as “a partnering with clients in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” A Coach helps to clarify and align with what a client wants to achieve, encourage self discovery, encourage client generated solutions and strategies, and holds the client responsible and accountable.

When would you need a Coach?
An individual or group may work with a coach for several reasons such as: there is something immediate, compelling or exciting at stake such as an opportunity, there is a need for a skill, knowledge, or increased confidence, a desire to improve results, to gain clarity regarding choices, work and life are out of balance, or for identification of strengths and how best to use them.

What can you expect in a Coach?
Objectivity and observation of processes, both internal and external, acts as a sounding board in the exploration of possibilities and implementation of thoughtful planning, encouragement to stretch and challenge thinking and behavior, brings a fresh perspective, sheds light on blind spots, creates alternative possibilities, confidentiality, and respect of the individual.

How we will work together
My process begins with meeting with you. We will explore your problem area(s). I will gain an understanding of what you want to change or achieve, what you have done in the past, and what has worked and what hasn’t worked. With clarity and understanding, we will develop achievable goals and steps to reach those goals. Additionally, we will develop other strategies to assist you. This process can take at least two sessions.

Ideally, for best results, we will meet at least for 3 months, at a minimum once per month. During our sessions, I will encourage honest exploration of your desires, behaviors, thoughts, and emotions related to your goals. I will encourage you to stretching yourself, take risks, seek out additional supports, and reconcile what you want and what is getting in your way. If we discover that you are faced with mental or emotional obstacles, we can employ other techniques that will help break through those blocks, such as hypnotherapy or I may recommend that you to seek out other resources that can get you going in your right direction.

Sessions can be in person/phone/Skype.
